Pansey Valley Wines

In 2011 Kate Kelly's, née Eschleman, father called her two weeks prior to harvest looking for some help in selling the current vintage of grapes.  Instead of helping to find a buyer she and her four friends, Mike Kelly, Matt Kelly, Mark Freeman and Lonnie Buchanan, decided to use the fruit for themselves and take a crack at making their own wine.  Spoiler:  it's very hard to make wine.

Located on the east side of Sonoma nestled in what's called Pansey Valley sits Dick & Kathleen Eschleman's 1.25 acre vineyard of Merlot and Syrah vines.  The vineyard was planted back in 2001 and has producing  upwards of 2 tons of fruit per year.

Pansey Valley currently offers two varietals for purchase, 2014 Merlot and 2016 Red Blend.  The wine is made of grapes from a single vineyard in the heart of Sonoma Valley.
